A well-respected strategic entrepreneur, Bettye J. Dixon has spent more than 20 years forming, partnering and presiding over a series of specialty and duty free stores.

Presently serving as President and CEO of Concourse Concessions, Inc. (CCI), Ms. Dixon has received special commendations for her achievements from both Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of Los Angeles and Governor Schwarzenegger of California.

In addition, Ms. Dixon was presented the 2009 "Hall of Fame" award from the National Association of Women Business Owners Los Angeles Chapter (NAWBO-LA).

Ms. Dixon also received the 2007 "Women In Action" award from The Los Angeles African American Public Policy Institute (LAAAWPPI). Concourse Concessions has been recognized as the 2006 African American Business of the Year by the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC), and was selected by the University of Southern California's Minority Enterprise for its 2006 Minority Retail Firm of the Year Award.

Before founding CCI, Ms. Dixon was COO and managing partner of Mir Kanon/Peideau, Inc., an airport retailer that graduated its status as a disadvantaged business enterprise with average annual gross sales exceeding the $30 million standard for more than three consecutive years.

Prior to becoming a business partner and entrepreneur, Ms. Dixon held high level positions for several federal agencies, including Director of Consumer Outreach for the Healthcare Financing Administration under the Department of Health and Human Services, and Director of Consumer Outreach for the Consumer Product Safety Commission.


In addition to her responsibilities as CCI's president and CEO, Dixon serves on several professional organizations that include:

Ms. Dixon holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Pepperdine University and a Masters Degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She currently resides in Los Angeles, where CCI is headquartered.
